Jody Rosen of Rolling Stones Magazine named Busy Signal's D.O.B album as her number 3 pick for 2010. Thats a big look for a dancehall artiste. Rosen said "The Jamaican dancehall star Busy Signal is one world's great rappers — a wit and a charmer, with fearsome flow and great taste in beats. His latest album is his finest yet. Don't sleep, U.S. hip-hop headz!" His album D.O.B. features hits like "One More Night", "(Sweet Love) Night Shift" and "Nuh Bwoy Cyaan Buy Wi Out" .
I have to say I agree....Busy is one of the baddest lyricists currently, and definitely overshadowed by the likes of Mavado and Vybz Kartel. Which is why is was disappointed by the cover of Beres Hammond's Tempted to Touch. Although we got a sample of Busy's singing in the aforementioned songs on his album, I love it when Busy sticks to deejaying. All in all WYRAS still says congrats to Busy!
