Don't Call It a Comeback---Future Fambo

Future Fambo has definitely come back on the scene with a vengeance.  Many may think that he is a newcomer to Dancehall Reggae music, but diehard music fans will recall him as Future Troubles back in the 1990s.  His most popular hit was Kung Fu back in 1994 which had us doing the dance of the same name and screaming “Hiya Hiya Hoo”.  Throughout the years, Future Troubles has had a number of songs.  However, none have had the success of his breakout hit song ‘Kung Fu”.  After a hiatus, he reappeared in the mid 2000s and reinvented himself as Future Fambo aka the Drunken Master.  He has released party hits such as “Fambo” on the popular Dem Time Deh Riddim, “Drunken Dance” and “Tom Drunk” among others.  His appearance on the wildly popular “Drinkin Rum & Red Bull” with Beenie Man this year has jump-started his career.  He has quickly released other songs since then which are also gaining popularity, such as “Never Sober” on Seanizzle’s Split Personality Riddim, and “Swagg” on the Supa Swag Riddim.  Fambo definitely has a recurring theme in his music of liquor, and being drunk. Although some are concerned that he may promote alcoholism, one can’t deny that it adds an element of humor to his music. In an effort to keep the wave of his international success going, Fambo is currently working a new album slated to be released soon.
