2012 Recap... A Bare Tings!!!!

-All I can say is what a Year in Music!!! The only constant thing this year was that you never knew what the hell was coming next.

-Let me try and do a recap dat mek some sense... 

-Soooooooooooooooooo... In the beginning of the year Kartel did inna jail but the Gaza did a gwaan same way...or so it seemed. Everybody hoped the Worl Boss (who REALLY couldn't travel) woulda come out from long time... And this gave Dwayno his introduction to the scene with di chune Don a Road. Unfortunately, Dwayno's prediction that Teacha a come out sooner than we think, was just as off as his prediction that the Gaza will prevail. Well I should say Kartel's Gaza...Because by summer, Popcaan who did fly out the gate inna di new year, start distance himself from the Gaza... And he was replaced by the demon Tommy Lee. Now Tommy Lee took over dancehall for a good piece of the year by singing lyrics based demon worship?! And him did a gwaan good till him get too hype and go diss General Grung Gaad... And no matta how hot you be... You cyaah be a just come artist and diss di Killa. By this time Kartel tried to disband the Gaza and replace it with PG13... But dat neva really work out still... And now di Gaza gone lef Addi and a follow Tommy Lee. 

-And amazingly inna Dancehall...It seemed that foolishness was the order as one of the most unintelligent songs in Dancehall History became a raging hit, Potential “Kid's Yah Suh Nice.” The song took over as the talk and the song was so popular... VP Records signed Potential Kid and “Yah Suh Nice” was on their Strictly The Best Compilation. The man said "Her breast a rub up pon mi teet like a chicken gravy..." And got a record deal!!! 2012!!!

-Then... the good boy from long time, Konshens, dyed his hair red and tek up Kartel baton fi di gyal dem and all now him nuh put it down. Konshens has officially replaced Kartel as di gyal dem artist worldwide. 

-Busy Signal dropped a whole album of vocals which would have changed the game... But as the album drop him end up inna US Jail... Lol... Bwoy mi nuh know. 

-The great Dave Kelly and his greatest protege' Baby Cham went back to their original formula of building quality riddims and chunes and it worked big time!!! Baby Cham dun 2012 madly... Mi nah lie!!! 

-Another crazy thing this year was the “bun” ting!!! The bun ting got outta hand this year and it’s showing no sign of slowing down. On a serious note...R.I.P. to the great Captain Barkey... Who was killed this year in the Bronx over Bun. Dat one deh did ruff... But then we had Mr.Vegas...who also had a great album this year. But what was bigger than his album was the fact that he found out his baby madda, who him did dun wit and who him tek from Goofy and breed,did also give whole heap a bun too... Did a sex a doctor inna him house weh him se she can stay all though dem nuh deh and him nuh live deh. (I hope all that's right... lol) Then... When he found out... “The Gyallis” aka Mr Vegas went on a Twitter tirade and a cuss di woman den go pon radio and tv and bawl bout it... Lol... And THEN he made a song, Bare Tings, explaining the situation... Mi nuh know... Lol. The greatest female Deejay ever inna dancehall also found herself inna bun situation... And took to “Facety-book” about it. Matterhorn did a mek fun a Vegas but den one his Baby Madda dem pics surface that she was sending a next man and the list goes on. As the late Capt. Barkey did se, “He, She, Di Old Lady, all di dawg a gih Bun”!!! 

-And to top off 2012 the right way... The great Ricky Trooper is recorded in a prank call accepting and agreeing to play what he believed was a dance for a Gay Party in Germany. To quote Mr. Trooper... "Once the money right you have me!!!" When the fake promoter asked if he would play for a Gay Rights stall in England... The man said it again... "Once the money right you have me!!!". 

-Needless to say 2012 was a very interesting year. Sizzla and Khago did a war but because dem put out di youtube videos... It neva mek sense caz none a di chunes dem had a chance to set in... Lol... Massicka and Chan Dizzy did a war and nobody cared and it was pretty much di same ting wit Demarco and Popcaan... Now the year is ending with Macka Diamond trying to war with Spice who brought out a Macka Donkey at Sting... (Hilarious)... Kiprich is the new Champion of Sting and a Black Ryno learned how to fly with the help of Popcaan.

-All in all... 2012 was a year of Extremes... The artists who were most extreme got the attention and overshadowed the more talented artists. Now that we're in 2013... Let's hope some quality vibes can join in with the new Hypeness.

-Big Up Mavado... di man was consistent all year...
