Talent Spotlight: Mystic Davis

Entertainers come and go at the speed of light, but MYSTIC is determined to make it to the top and shine brighter than the stars. The young dancer who recently added artiste to her portfolio is currently one of the hottest dancers on the entertainment scene in Jamaica, and her flame only seems to be getting hotter every week.

Born in Port Antonio in Portland, Jamaica and christened as Mystic Davis; she developed the love for dancing at a very early age. As early as age seven the dark skinned beauty was dancing ballet for Titchfield High School Ballet Troupe. At age thirteen while attending Wolmer's Girls School, she started to dance to dancehall music and has never looked back since. Now in her early twenties, MYSTIC is a choreographer, dancer, former model & now dancehall artiste. While modelling, MYSTIC reached the acclaim of doing a poster campaign for the Cooyah Clothing Company and VP's Riddim Driven. She has done choreography for Jamaican girl group Make Boyz Cry (MBC), Harbour View's Cheerleading Club and Miss UWI Mona Pageant along with many others. Always seen smiling with a cute gap between her front teeth, the slim dancer has been in Digicel, Lerner's Shop, NCB Be The Change Campaigns Red Label Wine and the Observer's CHAT! Commercials.

MYSTIC has showcased her talents in both local & international music videos, most notably Sean Kingston & Nicki Minaj "Letting Go (Dutty Love)"; Gnarl Barkley's "Goin On", Beenie Man's 'Whine Gyal', Tifa's 'Bottom of the barrel', Shaggy, Elephant Man, Wayne Marshall and Bounty Killer to name just a few. She also stars in a video directed by Ras Kassa Jay Will (GAMEOVER) Ruption Diboss as well as Sean Pauls "Gimme The Light" director, Little X.

Her musical talent comes from her mother Joy White is most notable for the single "First Cut is the Deepest" along with many others. So fast forward to June 2010, where Mafia McKoy of LOUD Disturbance Records invited MYSTIC to record her debut single "Wine Up", along with her collaboration with Macka Diamond & top female dancers entitled "Too Much Bull" debuted at number 1 on the Bubblers Chart in Toronto, Canada. Her remix of Leftside's "Phat Punani/Want Yuh Body" became an instant hit on the day of its release.
Other than dancing up a storm wherever she goes, she has influenced many in her life. 100m and 200m world record holder Usain Bolt led her to be his dance mentor. He will never forget that the 'Mystical Sensation' taught him how to dance and at every event he never fails to tell the crowd. It is through this friendship that MYSTIC is no stranger to performing with international artistes such as Ludacris on Usain Bolt's charity concert in 2009 which has over 71,000 views on Youtube. It was the first time hearing the song, as it was the official debut of the single by Ludacris. This then lead to performances in the Caribbean to countries such as Trinidad & Tobago.
MYSTIC is expected to continue to grow from strength to strength as a performer. Now as an artiste with a very bright future ahead with expected new hit singles, collaborations and eventual album, the world awaits to hear & see this 'Mystical Sensation' become a Legend
