Kymani Marley: Dear Dad
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE Kymani Marley. Kymani Marley is known for his music as well as his breakout roles in the movies 'One Love' and 'Shottas'. Kymani who was just 5 years old when his father the Honorable Robert Nesta Marley died has written a biography entitled 'Dear Dad' which is also the name of a song he sang a few years ago. The book was not without controversy, as there were some issues with the original subtitle. Kymani and the publishers have since been able to come to an agreement, and newer versions will have the modified subtitle. Kymani wants to emphasize that the story is "from his heart & soul". In ' Dear Dad' he tells about being banished from his father's estate after Marley's death in 1981. Him and his mother then left Jamaica where Kymani was raised in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Miami. Kymani's life was clearly not the bed of roses one would imagine. But Kymani attributes his drive and ultimately his success to the trials and tribulations that he has faced in his life. Kymani started his international book tour in October.
