Yesterday, Jamaica said goodbye to Gregory Isaacs aka the Cool Ruler in a celebration of his life and music at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston Jamaica. Isaacs who passed away on October 25, 2010 after a bout with cancer,was remembered for his contributions to Reggae music, his exquisite sound and longevity in the business. The Cool Ruler had recorded over 500 albums during his 40+ year career, with "Night Nurse" being his most popular hit, resulting in various remixes, and versions throughout the years. Other notable hits include "Number 1", "Rumours", "Love is Overdue" amongst a host of other. Isaacs' was undoubtedly an icon, and will be remain a true legend. RIP to the Cool Ruler.
